How to get there

 

Depending on where you are staying in Jeju, journey times and routes will vary greatly. Just for ease, I will give you directions from Jeju International Airport.

 

By bus: There are few different buses that run between the Jeju International Airport and the garden, but the quickest route is if you take the #182 express bus from Jeju International Airport bus stop number 5 and ride it for 5 stops, which takes about 42 minutes. Then get off at Donggwang Transfer Bus Stop 5 and walk for about 4 minutes to Donggwang Transfer Bus Stop 2 and take the #820-2 bus from there. Please note that this bus is very infrequent with it only running 8 times a day so timing is crucial. Ride this bus for 9 stops, which takes about 18 minutes and get off at Spirited Garden bus stop. This takes pretty much directly to the entrance of the garden so it's only a very short walk from the bus stop to the entrance. 

 

As I've mentioned before, public transport in Jeju is nothing like that in a city like Seoul, so it might be worth riding a more frequent bus the majority of the way and then picking up a taxi. Just be aware that taxis might not be available in a rural location so try to choose a built up area or place close by a tourist attraction if you want to find one.

By car/taxi: From the airport it'll take around 45 minutes to get to the garden. If you are taking a taxi, the fare will be at least 33,000 won.
